Today we carried out  with our family topic (Flower Power text). Homework do the handout about benefits and the handout about tenses.

Today we talked about restaurants and listened to a restaurant ctitic telling about her work. Homework: do exercise 3 (collocations) on page 58 and the handout about tenses (first 10 sentences).

Today's topic was food and restaurants. We also revised tenses (imperfekti). Homework: do exercise 10 on page 39.

Sentences to translate:
1. Perjantai-iltana vierailin ystäväni luona. Teimme loistavan illallisen ja juttelimme puoleenyöhön.
2. Lauantai-iltapäivällä ajoin kotiin. Matkalla kotiin kuuntelin musiikkia ja lauloin.

Improve your English - 3rd meeting

Today we talked about families and did some tense exercises. Homework: read the text "Flower Power" from page 16 to 18 and do exercise 9 and 10 on page 19 and finish off the tense handout.

English Upper Intermediate - 3rd meeting

Today we talked about language and the most important parts of it for us. We also looked at infinitive and ing-forms and did picture dictation. Homework: do exercise 3 on page 53 and the handout about prepositions.

Practice makes perfect - 2nd meeting

We talked about the weather and "ordered drinks" in a pub. We also revised some grammar (kestopreesens). Homework: page: 25, exercise 12, the handout about tenses and read the text about pubs on page 22.

Sentences to translate into English:

We talked about rituals like weddings and  did some exercises on collocations. Read the text The King and I on page 50 and do exercises 2 and 3.

Improve your English - 2nd meeting

We read text 1 Sunday lunch and talked about meals in Britain and Finland. We also revised question sentences. Homework: P&P book: Translate the sentences on page 139, exercise 2.
